Ring Bearer Practice

On January 2, 2010 my sister is getting married. She asked Clark to be the ring-bearer:) This past week we got his tuxedo in the mail, and we thought we should have him try it on to give him some practice at getting used to wearing a tux. At first he REALLY did not like the texture of the pants, but as soon as he realized he could still play cars in them it was all good!

He's started to get quite "cheesy" when the camera comes out. We ask him to say "cheese" and he gives us a big goofy grin, tilts his head and says "CHEEEESE." Oh, how I love my little boy!!

Here are some pictures of Clark sporting his tux. Come back to the blog in January to see if he makes it down the aisle!!

Autumn Leaves

We know it's officially autumn around here when our tree starts to loose its leaves. It's the first one on the block to start to drop its leaves. Today it was REALLY confirmed that it's autumn as I see small snowflakes outside our window right now:(

After naps yesterday Clark & Maggie went outside for some playtime in the leaves. They were super cute quickly responding to my prompts "Hey Clark, put some leaves on Maggie!" and "Hey Maggie go get Clark!" They also decided it would be fun to dump leaves on me:) Maggie had a lot of fun putting leaves in Clark's "pocket" (ie: his hood).

Niagara Falls

For our anniversary Matt & I went to Niagara Falls for the weekend. We enjoyed being tourists in our own "backyard." We only live about 45 minutes away, but neither of us had done the Maid of the Mist or any of the other popular attractions. We ate some wonderful meals, had a great view of the falls from our hotel room, went for a fabulous hike and enjoyed some rest & relaxation:)

Missing Summer...

I have read on several blogs and facebook that people are really enjoying fall and the changing of season. Here at the Misener household, we're missing summer:( We had many fantastic day trips to Long Point Beach that we wish we could continue. Looking through some of our pictures made me miss it even more!

Here area couple of shots from our trips to the beach....

And some videos. Here Clark is enjoying the water. We couldn't believe how quickly he became so comfortable in the water.

30,000 Island Boat Cruise

In early September while up at the cottage our family did the Miss Midland 30,000 Island Boat Cruise. Two and a half hours was a bit long for Clark, but he made friends with a 3 year old girl on the ship and they enjoyed playing together for the last hour or so.

While I was busy chasing Clark around the ship, Matt enjoyed taking some pictures. Here are a few pictures from our little day trip!

Boarding the ship (notice Clark's friend on the left)...

Beautiful cottages....

The westerly winds over Georgian Bay cause all of the trees to be slanted!!

Lovely scenery...

And lastly the captain lets Clark steer the boat (while it's parked of course!!)

Happy 2nd Birthday!

Now that the summer craziness has slowed down, I hope to catch up on some blog posts. I have lots of pictures I look forward to sharing with you!

On September 5th we celebrated Clark's 2nd birthday and Matt's 28th. We were up at Balm Beach with family and it was a wonderful way to thank God for another fantastic year with my two favorite men. Clark didn't eat his cake this year, but enjoyed playing with the cars that came on top of the cake!

Here are some pics from the day.

For Sherita...

So most of you have already seen this picture, but some of my friends...or a certain friend (not to be named except in the title of this post) aren't on facebook so they haven't seen it. And this certain friend also complained that there were never any pictures of Matt & I on the blog....

So here it is. This is a picture we took for Randy & Megan's adoption profile. They are in the process of adopting a child from South Africa, and needed family photos to add to the profile.
